The Celtic boss insisted he did not fear the sack, asserting, “The team is very near to changing our fortunes,” even after moving dangerously close to the exit with a convincing defeat by their arch-rivals.

A Second-Half Meltdown Leads to Old Firm Disaster

“The standard we had at times was really, really, really high. That happened. And I would not say that if it was not the case. Therefore, when it comes to wins, I said we've seen this before. That’s why I feel a change is coming to getting it right. Right now: small things.”

“There were plenty of positives that we did, once more. However it’s about consistency. My outlook would change if I didn't believe it. Therefore I am convinced we’re going to be able to get back on track.”

Röhl’s Cautious Stance

The victorious boss was cautious about a title charge in spite of what appeared to be a landmark win. “We take it game by game, and we can really build up something here,” he said. “The belief in the squad is outstanding.”
