Jurgen Klopp says rejoining to manage Liverpool is theoretically possible.
Jurgen Klopp, who left Anfield in 2024, indicated that rejoining the club remains an option. Supporters’ Hopes and Klopp’s Candid Remarks
They secured England's top flight last season, yet numerous supporters who revere Klopp would be thrilled by the possibility of his potential comeback. During an extensive chat, he told his interviewer: “I declared I won't manage any other side within the country. So that means should it be the Reds...yeah. In theory, it could happen.”
“At 58 years old, so I could make the decision later on, it's uncertain. Do I have to make the decision today? In that case, I'd stay away. But thank God, it's not necessary. I'll simply watch what lies ahead.”
What Would Lure Him Back?
When asked about what circumstances would have to unfold to bring him back to the dugout, he confessed he isn't eager toward coming back. “I'm not entirely sure, My present work fulfills me,” he commented. “I don’t miss coaching; No desire to be under bad weather for lengthy sessions; I don’t miss going to interviews repeatedly each week or constant media duties each week.
“I don’t miss the dressing room per se, but sitting in a restaurant with the players having a nice chat, that’s nice. With many victories thus frequently a very good mood at the club. Remaining with me is Van Dijk's laughter in my ear to illustrate.”
Commending Arne Slot
He spoke highly regarding Arne Slot, acknowledging his role for the adjustments that took the title last term. The team has suffered a string of losses in every contest after a summer spending spree, though he denied the notion of it representing a slump.
“[Liverpool have] a phenomenal forward like Florian Wirtz, you will all eat your words if spoken against. A remarkable prospect. The French striker, incredible player. It’s a really good balanced team. Fans shouldn't fret about Liverpool, they'll bounce back.”
Emotional Tribute for Diogo Jota
The manager expressed deep feeling on the loss of the Portuguese star, whom he brought in while in charge, along with the consequences on Liverpool. The Portugal international died tragically in a car crash alongside his brother in July.
“How do you replace somebody like Diogo? It goes beyond his footballing ability, his personality mattered. It's hard to picture the team environment without him in it. I find it difficult to discuss on this topic. It was an incredible shock for all the boys too. Nobody at Liverpool would cite it as an excuse though it's a fact. Being in that space which he filled completely. Handling this individually is challenging. Unbearable.”
