Orbital Images Reveal Iran's Naval Forces and Atomic Facilities Damaged by Joint US and Israeli Military Action.

A series of American and Israeli attacks has reportedly eliminated or harmed no fewer than eleven warships belonging to Iran starting the weekend, freshly analyzed aerial photos demonstrate, with missile bases and nuclear sites also coming under fire.

Images of the southerly Konarak naval naval base and the Bandar Abbas facility, which sits on the Strait of Hormuz and is home to the main command of the Iran's naval force, reveal black smoke pouring from a number of warships on the start of the week.

Maritime Assets Sustained Substantial Losses

Included in the ships sunk was the IRINS Makran, Iran's most sizable ship which had functioned as a unmanned aerial vehicle platform. Aerial imagery showed black smoke pouring from the ship which had been docked at the Bandar Abbas base.

Analytical reports state that no fewer than a quintet of warships at Bandar Abbas were "damaged or eliminated". Photos of the south end of the port depict smoke emanating from the Makran, while two other ships are visibly damaged, with one visibly ablaze.

At Konarak, images display multiple harmed ships, with analysis identifying damage to six ships. Images from Monday also demonstrate that a number of buildings at the installation have been leveled.

"For many years the Iran's leadership has harassed commercial vessels," a senior US military official said. "At present, there is not a single vessel from Iran underway in the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz or Gulf of Oman, and we will persist."

A number of vessels reportedly sunk may have been concealed in aerial photos by weather conditions or battle damage, or struck at sea, and have yet to be fully confirmed. Other accounts stated that a ship from Iran was going down off the coast of Sri Lankan territorial waters, leading to a search and rescue mission.

Missile Installations and Atomic Locations Hit

The destruction of Tehran's launch facilities and the hindering of atomic bomb programs were declared as additional goals of the air campaign. Aerial imagery also depicted impacts against the southern Khorgu base and northwestern Tabriz facilities, and at the Konarak base, where missile storage facilities and fortifications were struck.

At the Choqa Balk-e drone UAV facility west of the city of Kermanshah, extensive damage was observed to sheds, underground facilities and drone launch equipment.

Destruction was also seen at a surveillance station at the Zahedan military airport in eastern parts of the country, close to the frontier with Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Perhaps most notably, the most recent series of attacks have reportedly targeted sites at the Natanz complex – long said to be at the center of the country's nuclear programme. An international watchdog stated that the damaged buildings were used for entry to the site's underground enrichment facility and that "no release of radioactive material" was expected.

Broader Fallout and Assessment

Observers stated that the strikes appeared to have "significantly degraded" the Iranian navy's ability to carry out conventional attacks using its largest vessels. However, it was noted that Tehran still has the capacity to launch asymmetric warfare at sea through the use of unmanned aerial vehicles, small submarines and its so-called "shadow fleet" of tankers.

The total extent of the damage caused to Iranian military infrastructure remains unclear, with hostilities reportedly ongoing. Photos also shows extensive damage to the command center of the Iran's Revolutionary Guards in the city of Tehran.

Numerous of civilian buildings also seem to have been damaged in the capital city and across the country since the hostilities began. Toll estimates from inside Iran state that many hundreds of civilians may have been lost their lives in the bombardment.

As the situation develops, monitoring of satellite imagery will persist to track the evolving military landscape.
