Vince Zampella, Has Died in an LA Traffic Collision
Vince Zampella, who helped create the immensely successful first-person shooter Call of Duty, has tragically died in a car accident in California aged 55.
His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.
The celebrated game designer lost his life when his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on this past Sunday, US media outlets report.
"We are facing a heartbreaking loss, and our hearts are with Vince's loved ones, his family, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts commented.
